Whilst Best Car Rentals make every effort to
ensure the following information is correct at the time of transmission,
individual terms and conditions of rental are subject to
change and we strongly advise you ensure, before you sign any contract
for hire of a vehicle, that you understand those terms and conditions.

matter with the rental agent on arrival or to contact Best Car Rentals
prior to accepting any terms you feel are incorrect.

Rates include V.A.T., unlimited mileage and comprehensive insurance (both theft and collision) for one driver with an excess of £1000.00
Age Requirements
Minimum rental age is 25 years on Maxda MX5, Mini Cooper S Conv., Saab 93 Conv.,
and the Mini Cooper S, 28 years on BMW 3 series, Jaguary X Type and the
Mercedes C Class and 30 years on all other groups. Maximum Age 74 years
and 364 days on all groups.
Additional Driver
Charged at £5.88 per day
Return Timing Criteria
All vehicles must be returned within one hour of the collection time or a further
days rental will be charged
Cross Border Policy
Vehicles are not allowed to be taken outside the mainland UK
Domestic One Way Rentals
All rentals where the vehicle is not returned to the same location as
it is collected from will accrue a surcharge of £58.75 per rental,
regardless of the length of the rental.
Extension of Rentals
Should you need to retain the vehicle beyond the initial rental
return date then PLEASE CONTACT BEST CAR RENTALS AND NOT THE RENTAL SUPPLIER
to advise.
Licence Requirements
Full UK licence that has been held for at least one year with acceptable endorsements
only. If you have a new style Photo Driving licence which commenced in July,
1998 the endorsements are not shown on this licence but are displayed on
a secondary paper Counterpart Licence. Customers must produce both documents
at the start of the rental.If you have an existing paper licence (which do
show endorsements) this will be valid until the expiry date or until their
details change. When producing this licence a passport or another form of
ID must be produced.Licences issued overseas must be clearly identifiable
as a driving licence, otherwise an International Driving Licence will be
required. A passport must also be produced.
Roadside Assistance
In case of breakdown or accidents, emergency telephone numbers can be found
on the vehicle tax disc and key fob. Cover is provided through either the
AA, RAC or other provider, dependent on the vehicle manufacturer.Customers
should call the emergency number shown on their vehicle. Coverage is 24 hours
a day, 7 days a week. Dependant on the circumstances, we reserve the right
not to replace the vehicle.
Important information on Child seats
The introduction of new legislation on 18th September 2006 requires parents
to ensure that all children 3 years and over must use a child restraints
until they reach a height of 135cm (approximately 4ft 5ins). This new rule
represents best practice to help keep children safe. Failure to comply with
the regulations can incur a £30 fixed fine and three penalty points
on your licence. There is no change to the law for children under 3 years,
a correct child restraint must still be used.
Congestion Charge
It is the responsibility of the hirer to purchase the LONDON CONGESTION
CHARGE, if you are within the boundary you will be advised at the time of collection
from the branch and the firsy days cost will be added to your rental liability
The charge is £8.00 from 7am - 6.30pm Monday - Friday (Excluding public
holidays)

Delivery and Collection
No charge is made for collection from and return to the following locations:-
Heathrow Airport
Gatwick Airport
Manchester City
Manchester Airport
Edinburgh City
Edinburgh Airport
Birmingham Airport
Birmingham City
Leeds City
Leeds/Bradford Airport
for all other listed locations and for delivery to other addresses then a charge of £29.38 is made for delivery to and the same for collection from that address or listed branch
Acceptable forms of payment
All major Creditand Debit cards are accepted (including Maestro Debit Cards)
SPECIAL OFFER C AND E CLASS VEHICLES – as stated above unless difference reflected below
Rate includes VAT, unlimited mileage and comprehensive insurance for two drivers with an excess of £600.00 plus VAT
Minimum Age is 30 and maximum age is 74 years and 364 days
Deliveries
No deliveries are available for the special offer vehicles, all vehicles must
be collected form and returned to the rental location
Return Timing Criteria
All vehicles must be returned within 30 minutes of the collection time or a
further days rental will be charged
Additional Drivers
There is no surcharge for the first additional driver, all subsequent additional
drivers are charged at £4.22 per day
Domestic One Way Rentals
All rentals where the vehicle is not returned to the same location as
it is collected form will accrue a surcharge of £41.13 per rental, regardless
of the length of the rental
Baby Seats - £6.24 per day up to a maximum of £37.44 per rental
Child Seats - £6.24 per day up to a maximum of £37.44 per rental
Booster Seats - £6.24 per day up to a maximum of £37.44 per rental
